The aims & objects for constituting "OVERSEAS INDIAN PEOPLES FOUNDATION" is primarily for the protection, promotion & preservation of social status & welfare of Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and persons of Indian origin in their existence and to ensure that no discrimination / atrocities take place in regard to their universe rights of equality & opportunity in social, political, cultural legislative & other spheres of functional processes.
Overseas Indian Peoples Foundation was established in the year 1990 by a group of eminent persons from varied field of disciplines. The Foundation of Overseas Indian People got incorporated on 16th day of July, 1990 under the Societies Act XXI of 1860 with seal of registration bearing No.S-21167 by Delhi Government (Union Territory of Delhi). Aims and objectives for which Overseas Indian Peoples Foundation came into being were to protect their rights and ensure dignity while they operate anywhere overseas. The aims and objectives were further enhanced covering variety of other disciplines to provide a strong consensus group in the overall interest of the fast emerging India in the global scenario.
Overseas Indian Peoples Foundation right from its very inception more than 21 years back has always stood for the cause of Overseas Indians and has tried to provide facilitations and other support services. The Foundation has kept a low profile and has never indulged in any controversy or untoward activity. The Foundation has not created any corpus nor generated any funds so far to pursue its activities and has relied on the co-operation of its dedicated members of the Governing body.
To further the cause of overseas Indians and to support their need base programmes, activities effectively, we now seek to enhance our sphere of activities and accordingly make our effort to invite a team of honourable, dedicated, devoted, committed, eminent experts/ personalities in varied field of disciplines.
